Bow Review...Diamond Deadeye
Shot the deadeye on Saturday. 70 lbs, 29" draw. I currently shoot an 09 Diamond Iceman and I wanted to buy a second bow that has some pretty decent speed. I've always liked single cam bows.
The deadeye in my opinion stinks. Guys complain about the valley being harsh, but I didn't think it was too terrible. What was less than impressive was once the cam rolled over, it actually made a "popping" noise. It was subtle but very annoying and unacceptable for a hunting bow. I didn't feel the vibration that I've heard others talk about from this bow. The grip felt very cheap...plastic panels for their flagship bow of 2011 also seemed like the bow was cheapened. I do like the flx roller guard. I don't see how anyone could have fletching clearance issues with where it is located. Bow was also very top heavy and didn't gently rock in your hands, more like aggressively tipped over. Just thought I would post my experience.
