Re: Synthetic Stock Over & Under Shotguns
Browning has a black synthetic stocked gun in their Cynergy line while there are some camo'ed versions in the Citori line. Ruger had a synthetic stocked Red Label at one time but I am not much of a fan of these guns and have not kept up with the different versions in recent times. Beretta has, or at least had, a synthetic stock with a photocopied wood pattern on some of their 682 line. I do not know if other companies have offered a synthetic stock as I have no compunctions regarding astock getting nicked up during normal hunting efforts. Any tool is going to get scratched at some point and it is something that goes with the territory. If anything, get an oil finished wood stock and any nicks, scratches, scrapes, or even gouges can be filled in and refinished easily. A field grade gun has pretty plain wood so these types of repairs are not difficult nor very obvious.
