Default FFFg 777 150gr Euqivalent

What is the equivelent load of 777 FFFg for the 150gr FFg 777pellet load. I have a Omaga thats rated for 150gr load of FFg 777and wanted to work up FFFg loads of 777 in it. 100grs 110grs ? I am looking to increase accuracy for my 280gr, 300gr and 320gr sabots bullets. So far its just 100grs that gives OK accuracy.

When a rifle is rated for 150 grains ,it is usually the 3 pellets they are talking about. In 777 powder ,granulated form about 120 grains would equal the 150 /3 pellet powder. . When you talk FFF powder ,you should reduce the 120 grains to arround 108 grains to be close to equal.

Hope this helps .

Remember that this is by volume and not actual weigh.

Thanks I knew the lose powder was 120grs but haven't till now seen FFFg equivilent. Iam was gonna start at 80grs and work up its more foe accuricy. The FFg 777 loads are more then fast enough and may be the Omaga's just like lighter bullets. The 260 partion and 265 Interlock with sabots might be the next thing to try.

good thread tjen, hope more m/l shooters read the equivalence of loose 777 to other powders. when reading through some posts, guys will post they`re powder charge at 150grns. 777 powder and wonder why they can`t get accuracy. probably blowing skirts clear off sabot not to mention the danger factor. i believe the omega has same barrel as encore and if so i have found my encore likes hotter loads. with appreciated help from others on this forum i settled on 120grns. 777 loose powder,250grn. bonded t/c shockwave with rem. cleanbore primers. just abought went broke trying different loads but it was fun. your rifle may like this load, hope so and goodluck

ccw I like the part of your post where you state that you "just about went broke" ML's are sure fun to shoot but they can put a hurtin on your pocket book. LOL

turkeyhuntr. things sure aren`t as simple as they used to be, huh. whole new ball game with the inlines. gotta few in the cabinet and they all seem to have the taste for something different. when i want something simple and reliable i always grab t/c 50 cal. caplock. .490prb.,.010patch and 90grns.ffg and i know she`ll go boom accurate out to 100yds. or so. it still seems to be my favorite. used to go in gun store with $20 and by enough accessories to last a summer. now you better take$200. may have to go back to the old trusty "roll your own trick" gotta store up on some lead.
