One up for both Nikon and Bushnell. Owned both and loved both. I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 on my 12ga and a 4-14x40 on my 700 .223. Both are great scopes. I also had a T/C Encore .50 cal that wore a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 w/fire fly. That was one heck of a scope as well.

Happy Hunting,
WTG

If you like the idea of ballistic drop compensating reticles, check out the various products from multiple manufacturers. Nikon, Leupold, etc.

I own two Leupold VX-III's. 4.5-14x 40mm obj. both have the B&C reticle. With a 200 yard zero, it give you reticle cross marks for 200, 300, 400, 450, 500. (or up to 600 with really fast loads). You HAVE to shoot it and get it tailored to your load though. Don't expect immediate results, but it doesn't take long to get it working for you. Also, the B&C has 10 mph wind drift compensators at longer range hash marks. Check out the varmint reticle, too. I believe that might have 10 and 20 mph wind marks as well.
