Default What scope???

Well I got Rid of my Savage Last night and bought a DPMS Bull 20 .223 AR. She is Sweet!!! Now I'm wondering What scope I should go with... I have been Looking at the Nikon Coyote Special and a BSA Catseye... I like the BSA Catseyes because they are Very Clear and accurate nice scope for the money, I have had a few of them before and had great luck with them. But on the Nikon coyote I like the fact that they have the balistic circles in them for diffrent yardage. What do you guys think?

II like the Nikons I think you would too ... It takes a little work to get the Nikoplex working for you, but once you are dialed in they are nice.
If you are already to terms with thecatseye's and like them, they are cheaper (cost less) ... so ... your call.
It sounds like you can't go wrong.

A buddy of mine is looking at the red dot scopes for his, but those are more for close range correct?

That would be the only possible use I can imagine.

Well, I was pulling my hair out trying to decide what scope to go with and then I went on Bushnell's Web site and There it was... I went with the new Bushnell DOA Scope. I like it! I got the Trophy series 4-12x40. I was a little unsure about 12 power being enough but around here it should be fine. I like the Fact that they take the guess work out of longer shots with centerfire rifles. Check em out.

BSA's seem crystal clear in the store, and even in good day light, but they become useless in lower light and even when the sun is shining or reflecting into the scope. I have one for target practice and it's ideal, but just this month I tried to hunt with it and realized it is not up to the task, I plan to replace it with a 5-20X44 Nikon Monarch.

I've seen a barska -20X that needed a sun shade something feirce as well ... not too bad otherwise tho ... Wasn't mine so I can't comment on click repeatability iether. But it seemed better than I would have expected.

Leupold just came out with an AR specific scope and the price is not rediculious either. It's called the Mark AR. Don't know alot about it but looks pretty cool to me!
