I recently aquired a Ruger 10-22, on the side of the barrel it says Made In the 200th Year of American Liberty, anybody know what that is?

they were around in 1976 just a guess. maybe a call to ruger with serial number will verify. did this once with remington and found out my 300wm rifle was made for a demo at houston shot show. wish all my guns could talk as some quite old

Nope - still a used 10/22. Think $100-$150 for value. You can get a new one for $200.

Sir;
After you shoot that Ruger several boxes of shells remove it from the stock and tighten the two screws which hold the barrel block in - you'll find the will go about an eigth of a turn - helps accuracy.
