wind currents for october-start of january

hmm i cant seem to find a site with records of the wind currents for october through start of january
this is the entire hunting season here in texas and i need to figure out which way the wind blows so i can set up my tree stands. one of my friends said in october it usually blows from the east or northeast, and i believe that we put the tripod that way but many hunts i would feel in the wind on my back

You should be able to get the information from http://www.noaa.gov/ or from your local weather station.
