Here is a hog I shot at 135 yds with a 300gr Hornady SST / 120gr 777.
I hit it right behind the shoulder and it exited the other side quarter size.
The hog made it only 20 yards before dropping.
My Omega really likes the 300gr SST's

I have a LEE R-E-A-L M/L bullet mold , 320 grains. Like they said pure lead will assist with the bullet fitting in the bore. Teflon tape can also snug a bullet up to keep it from coming off the powder charge. I took 2 deer in recent years with home cast bullets, one with my 320 grn conical & one with a 44 cal handgun bullet held in a sabot. Both were pass thrus shot from my 50 cal Knight. The conicals shot very good. This year I plan to try some Hornaday SST bullets & just use my 44 cal lead for initial sight-in. I have not measured bullets from my Lee mold but you may want to look at it as an option.
Teflon tape is a good idea, I've never heard of that.
You might want to measure your rifling twist. I have a 1 in 72 which shoots round balls well, but won't stabilize conicals.
