45 cal . muzzleloader? What bullet do you shoot.
I just bought another used CVA Kodiak 45 cal with 11 packs of Powerbelt 225 grain hP.I have not been able to shoot it yet to see what it will do.
If not happy with it ,it will go.

I shoot a 45 for deer. Powerbelt bullets of various gr. Don't use the areo tip powerbelt on deer. I have not had one expand. Use the hollow points.

Aerotips expand just fine. And if you are taking shoulder shots, i highly recommend the Aerotips as they hold a lot of weight in the center.
Hollow Points are good too but you have to slow them down a little to keep them from over expanding.
225g AT powerbelt driven with 80g 3F triple 7 and a shot from 80 yards

Another deer was shot a couple hours right behind the shoulder, the bullet came out of the front shoulder on the Opposite side and destroyed the leg. Deer bled out like a SOB!

O' Well I addressed this with a powerbelt rep. and he stated they are having trouble with expansion on deer size game....

Not me. Been using them since 2002. When i was shooting magnum loads and deer 150+ yards away, i noticed the entrance hole and exit were the size of a quarter. That was with lung shots. All of the deer dropped in their tracks.
