View Full Version : Sabbot for Remington Genesis
I have a remington genesis 50 cal muzzleloader and im shooting 100 grain triple seven charges, I was wondering what would be a good round for whitetail deer, I have a nice Nikon scope and im looking to make 200 yard shots was wondering if I should change the charge im shooting and what is the best sabbot to shoot.

I watched a man at the shooting range the other day shoot his new Remington using 150 grains of Triple 777 and a Hornady SST Sabot 250 grain I think. He was shooting an honest 6 inch group at 200 yards. To me that is pretty good.

No way to answer this question. The only way to get an answer is to shoot your gun and let it tell you. All muzzleloaders will shoot differently. You have to spend time at the range to determine which load is the most accurate. Forget about so-called "knock-down power" and strive for accuracy.
