Has anyone noticed the big jump in price on Powerbelt Bullets ?$5 a pack increase in just the last few days.Going to limit my target shooting this summer. I still will use them for elk but going back to sabots for deer hunting, there less tha half the price of Powerbelts.300 grain XTP in Knight sabots-$7.69 per 20/Powerbelt 295 HP $19.99 per 20 count, pretty expensive shooting!

Expensive for target shooting, price doesnt matter much when hunting season rolls around.
How do you think i feel when i buy bullets so i can test them and keep my forum up dated? lol
WWW.BUDSGUNSHOP.COM Go under CVA and Powerbelts are still pretty reasonable there. Probably around the same price.
I get them for $17 at a local shooting store.
All prices have gone up on bullets, Check out cabelas and your mouth will drop!
Gas prices drive ALL prices up.
Now that Yuppie fuel "thats what i call it" Is driving up our food prices because they'd rather burn corn than eat it.

I was going to try a bunch of different bullets & sabots for my muzzleloader (CVA Wolf) and decided to scratch that idea - I might shoot it 20 times each year - hopefully twice at deer.
I had experience with the Powerbelts and they were great so I bought a couple bulk packs (20) of 295 and 348 for sighting and seeing which one the gun likes. I'll probably shoot the 348 due to all the stuff I've heard abotu the lighter ones exploding - just to be safe.
They seem to be worth the money - 1 piece, no fumbling around, easy to load, and shoot great.
BTW - Hornady is supposed to be coming out with a jacketted version very similar to the Powerbelt but without a "sissy skirt". LOL!
I think these will be superior in every way but only time will tell right now. I'll order a couple packs as soon as they are available.
