Anyone own and use an early model Knight muzzleloader? MK85,BK92,LK93 ? To me they are still one of the most accurate rifles ever made,I call them the Cadilac of muzzleloaders.I have a small collection of them, have tried others but still go back to my Knights.

Bought my first Knight last year (50 cal. Disc Extreme. S/S, camo) and am totally sold. Best trigger I've seen on a MZ (adjusted to crisp 2 1/2 lbs.), most convenient safety, love the jacketed disc (easier to load), and shoots several loads at 1-2" at 100 yds.

I have only one experience with Knight rifles, it was bad enough that I never would recommend one to someone I like. Everytime I shot it I would have to use a knife to dig out the disc, it was a real pain in the a$$! Also, the idea of two safeties is rediculous IMO If a person is too dumb to figure out, safety on, safety off, they are really going to have trouble with safety on, safety almost on, safety almost off, safety half way off etc... BTW, that one shot I could get off every 6 minutes WAS in the bullseye! lol

Most of my Knight rifles are the old plunger hammer type and I just use the #11 cap for ignition, works for me.

I own a Knight revolution 50 cal.and its the most accurate muzzleloader i have ever shot... my knights accuracy is rated to hold 2 1/2 in groups a 100 yds.but ive yet to shoot over 1 1/4 in.depending on wind and humidity....its got a great hunting trigger and the safety i have ajusted very quiet.will handle 150 grains of ffg t 7 with no problem, but i prefer hunting with 110 grain charges.i tried several bullet types and this gun shoots the best with barnes250 grain tmz spitfire bullets.it weighs 8 1/2 lbs. which is a little heavy but i wouldnt call that a downside... it handles good and has got its share of game.
