What bullet do you use for Colorado elk ? NO SABOTS.

For what its worth most guys I know are using the Powerbelt Aerotips/hollowpoints, or the Thompson Center uncoated lead conicals. I chose the powerbelts since the mz I am using was designed for them.

Many traditional shooters at Cabela's HQ use the Hornady Great Plains bullet below:

I have shot the POWERBELT 295 HP out of my knight rifle with good results,I am going to try the 348 gr powerbelts and the GreatPlains bullets when we get some better weather.

There are several styles from swaged round ball to the greased slugs. Log Cabin Sports Shop, House of Muskets, Track of the Wolf or Dixie Gun Works have a large selection, all found on the Internet.
