I have made the switch from alum. to carbon.
I am wondering what you guy's think of this set-up. I shoot a Martin Jaguar set at 62#, 29" draw, WB rest and a release.
I went with the Goldtip 5575 Exp. Hunters cut to 29.5", Blazer 2" broadhead veins, Bohning 4" arrow wraps, and Muzzy 100gr. 3 blade broadheads.
I have no idea what kind of speed I am going to be looking at but it has to be better than the Easton 30" 2117 alum. 5" fletched shafts with 125 grain cheap broadheads I was using.

I think you will be happy with setup. I have shot Muzzy 4 blades for almost 10 years and I have never lost an animal yet. They really blow through the ribs. I even have used the same broadhead over, after replacing the blades of course. I shoot the 4 blades because they fly better for me.
If memory serves me correctly, I used to shoot a reflex grizzly set at 62 lbs also with easton 2413, 125 grain muzzys and my setup was running around 230 fps. Now I shoot a hoyt Vtec at 66lbs with easton epic 400 shafts, 100 grain muzzys. I have never chronographed it, but there is very little drop from 20 to thirty yards. Carbons are definetly the way to go......
good luck

I think I might raise my bow to 65# and see how that does. It kinda depends on how my shoulder handles it.

I used Gold tip 3555 at 60# draw with 100 grain tips on my old Darton Bow and I got 269 fps. I just bought a new Darton bow last week. I had to change to gold tip 5575 with the two inch fletchings because now I draw 70#. I haven't had the chance to chrono it yet. These arrows will withstand a lot of abuse. I think you made a good choice.

Thanks airborne. I have had a chance to shoot them a few times and they seem to fly great. I love having the shorter 2" veins. I have not paper tuned it yet and am still getting groups of about 4" out to 40 yards, although they do move right as the shots get longer. The only thing is that the muzzys are flying low and left. I think I need to have the remaining arrows tuned by a pro and see what that brings me. I am going to raise my bow up to 65# and see if I like that any better.
