Hey all,

Quick question for some of you guys in the know. I have a strong desire to branch out of my hunting comfort zone of archery and "general gun," for my local wildlife. My grandfather passed down to me a .45 rifle that is in pristine condition and I'd love to do right by him and take a deer with it (or, for that matter, any game from deer to rabbit, squirrel, waterfowl, whatever). My problem is that I've never hunted black powder before. I'm wondering what a good resource is to use to learn the art before I try. Safety is always number one and I don't want to damage myself, my equipment, or just hunt poorly. Anyone have a link, book, anything? Help is appreciated.

-R.

Try here:http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/index.php. It's a tradiitonal muzzleloading forum so somebody can probably help identify your rifle and get you started in the right direction.
