I have been looking at the new blazer vanes and wanted to know if anyone has shot them yet? and are they what they say they are? I shoot mechanical right now but am thinking of going back to fixed blade. Thanks

I used them with a Wensel Woodsman broadhead and was surprised that a small vane worked so well with the large profile.

I have been hearing good things about them from some guys I know. I will see if I can get my hands on some and let you know from fist hand experiance.

I asked the question on Bass Pro and found out that you can call Bohning and they will send you a set for free to try out if you call them. Mine are on the way.

I just fletched some arrows with the 2" blazers and was very happy with the way they fly with fieldpoints. I haven't had the time to shoot much, so hopefully they fly good with a fixed blade broadhead like a muzzy. I know they recomend that if you shoot the 1 1/2" blazers to shot a mechanical.

I will shoot nothing but blazers at this point. For my set up it helps my "foc" with the montec 100's. They are great for windy situations. It's just a little rutter dragging air then a standard 4'' dragging double the air.

I did some reading on the blasers and miniblazers. It said that for hunters shooting a fixed broadhead, you should use the 2", but the 1" is better with mechanical. The article also said that the Montec 100g are the best broadhead to use if using a fixed, with the 2" blazer. From what I gather, the blazer and the new quickspin work equally well, but you can get 100 blazers fletches for the price of 36 quickspin
