tarpon and bonefish patterns

next week is spring break and im goin' to florida to fish for tarpon and bonefish on the clearwater flats so i wanted to know the best tarpon and bonefish patterns you know of (other than black death). i'll post some pics when i come back if i catch anything.

You really know where to put the knife. I am so jealous! Not sure you'll find many tarpon this time of year, but something shoud be biting. There are a few resident tarpon, but most migrate and don't return until later in the spring. I've never fished for tarpon in the Peace River, but I understand there is a good number of young fish that stay there until they are ready for the big trip south.

That's just a little bit south of Clearwater, probably a two hour drive depending on the number of snowbirds that are gawking at the palm trees. Just north of there, Crystal River also has some young fish as well. I don't remember how far that is from Clearwater, but its somewhere around the same distance, perhaps a little closer.
