I dont know if this gun sells very well but there seems to be some flaws.
Do you trust that shot of a lifetime to a charged 9 volt?
How well does it stand up to the weather?
After you reload its supposed to take about 30 sec to recharge (too long ?)
Would you feel safe loading powder and a bullet down a barell with a possible charged capacitor?
Do you have to shoot this gun every time you leave the woods so you can carry it in the truck?
I just read a review in a magazine and it said it shoots very well and since there is no 209 primer you dont have the problem of powder and bullet shift.
Is that the benchmark that makes a good muzzleloader?
Im not putting it down but before I would spend my money these questions would need asked.

i would not buy one of these... partly to the slight chance of some kind of short or something that could happen when loading it. the chance of something bad happening is just too great for me to spend my money on one of these

I was thinking the same thing.

Not to mention that certain places will most likely not even allow the use of such a muzzleloader. Check with your local regs.

I certainly wouldn't want one...from a safety standpoint and malfunction possibilities.

The Electra seems IMHO, to be an answer to a question no one asked...

I checked one out as bass pro, the quality of the bergara barrel was excellent. You can actually pick these rifles up for around $200 on gunbroker, and for that price, its worth a shot just see how they are.

Remember that when you shoot ANY muzzleloader, theres a possibility of a smoldering ember in the bore that could ignite the powder while you are busy loading the bullet down the bore.

But if i could get one of these Electra's for $200, i'd go for it just to experience it and decide then if i like it or not.
