why change the forum

Just curious, does anyone know why Cabela's changed the forum? The old one contained a wealth of information. Too bad.

Hi-

The forums were changed to introduce some new features to our users.
Yes, we did lose information in the process. Every avenue was explored to see how we could pull the old content into the new forums - and it just wasn't something that was going to work well at all.

What we are using now is easier to use, easier to maintain and some annoying problems with old forums are now gone. On big advantage is the ability to have endless discussion without making a new topic.

We hope you find the new forums as a useful upgrade!
