Not legal for use in the state of Washington, no clue here.

the ad says 400 gr.........for deep penetration on dangerous animals. so i suppose that would work for a narrow situation but they seem too heavy and dont look like they will expand very well for deer or non-dangerous game. but this is my first year with a muzzleloader so what do i know?

I don't know, but I am a sucker for marketing and with a name like bone crusher I might give them a try on more dangerous game.

They look like regular .458 FMJs. Get those and some sabots separately and you'll probably save a lot more.

Just curious, 6176, what kind of dangerous game are you planning on hunting with these?

Get some orange (.458/50) sabots from here
http://www.mmpsabots.com/

Then get some .458 bullets from here:
www.cabelas.com
or www.midsouthshooterssupply.com

Together you'll have a more cost-efficient setup than buying the sabots and bullets together from T/C. I would not use FMJs for black bear, use an expanding bullet. The 350 grain round nose from Hornady would be perfect. There's no need for a dangerous game bullet for black bear in my opinion, but whatever you think's best.

i dont know. if man has been using muzzleloaders to shoot down bear with musket balls then why would i want to spend money on this. if anything buy some molds and start casting your own

Bear Tooth bullets makes a hard cast flat noseed bullet designed for sabots, And heavester offers two hard cast saboted bullets a 280gr 44/50cal and a 320gr 45/50cal. The later would be tops for black bears.

Guess I'm stuck on maxi-balls cast in my "laboratory" (garage). Easy loading, real accurate (at least for me), decent penetration and good expansion. One of these days I'm gonna try drilling a couple to make hollow points and try 'em on one of my favorite testing targets...55 gallon drum full of water... and see what they look like.
