Anyone have any experience with these?
I am very interested in PR bullets, but where would one start with their 15+ bullets?

I tried some and found that they didn't shoot well in my rifle. I think they were 250gr. bullets. I now have another rifle but never tried them in it. If I were going to try a new bullet I would choose one based on what I was going to use it for. You didn't say what cal. rifle you shoot or how far you intend to shoot but if hunting deer at 100yards I'd go with something in the 200 to 250gr. bullets.

I have been shooting muzzle loaders for over 50 years and have yet to find any of them that will not take some testing of any bullet chosen to make the gun shoot. When still target shooting at major events, Friendship and so on, every bullet, ball was weighted and kept within 2 grams of the weight desired. Then it was patching thickness, patch material weave and thread count, from there you went into powders, then caps or flints. As you can see its how far do you want to go to make a perfect group when shooting. I hated the flags and wind at these events, finally after 15-18 years stopped that game and just shoot for the fun of the sport.
After all that said, just take your time and work up a few loads, do some testing off a bench to reach the desired grouping and live with the gun.
Remember the old saying "be aware of the man with one gun", he'll know it better than one would believe and shoot circles around you.

totally agree with buck conner. I cast my own. using the LEE R.E.A.L bullet 320 grain. i have fired a bunch of different types of bullets. the bottom line is this. Once you decide on a bullet you need to figure out the load yourself. Its all about trial and error. using information from someone else may not do a thing for you. you need to get to the range. measure some powder shoot different types of powder and different measurements of powder. Then you need to mess with different types of lubes. you will be spending some money and shooting and writing down what your results were. I use the real 320 grain bullet. I use bore butter in my barrels. My guns soak in gun oil. before i go to shoot them i swab them out with dry swabs. Then use a good alcohal patch to remove the oil. At the range i shoot at least two blanks. Then i use a light patch of precision lube 2000. to go down the barrel. Then i load up my 320 grain bullet coated good with bore butter. 110 grains of 777.
OH ya i will be shooting very tight groups using this method. Every 4 shots gets a scrub down the barrel.
Thats my secret. Open to the public. but you will have to come up with what works well for you and your gun. I plan on going shooting on saturday. when i do friday night i will dry swab the barrels and run a good patch with alcohal down the barrel. Then i will pack up the gun in a soft carrying pack. to keep moisture out and keep it dry and warm. Yep i will be ready for saturday.
