I am looking fo a new sight ans a new peep. I like the bigger peeps and don't care if it attached to the cable. I did have a Cobra sight and like it. I do need one that is bright and dont really want to deal with a light. I live in Western Washington and spend a good deal of time in the woods on the north sides of mountians and hills. That keeps it somewhat dark. Any one Or two I should look at? Thanks.

A relative new peep on the market is the night hawk peep. It does work and is well documented of the benefits. http://www.nighthawkarchery.com/. Some low light sights would include the tru glo xtreme and bright site series and the Black gold skylight.
Check out the Trophy ridge flatliner sight. Bright, great field of view, easy to adjust and very affordable. About 45.00 dollars.

If you hunt from a tree stand, Savage Archery makes a killer pendulum sight (super max). Make sure you get it with the fiber glow pin for low light conditions. Rugged and accurate. Easy to setup. Shooting 3" groups at 25 yards with a 15 year old PSE.

Question... My peep is positioned so that it is right in front of my eye when I draw. Why would you need it lighted and how does that effect the ability to see a target that is in dim light. I never looked through one and was just wondering?

I always heard that the smaller the peep sight hole the more accurate, less room for error. I shot the trophy ridge matix sight and love them. some people don't like the vertical sights, but I do. They are bright enough for me and have a place for a small led attachment if you need. I know someone who currently has copper john sights and doesn't really care for them. He has a hard time seeing them in the early morning light. A good sight for not a lot of $ is the tru glow sights. I beleive a good set is around $60.
As far a peeps go, I don't trust the ones with that attach to the cables. sometimes they twist. I don't know where you hunt, but here in Louisiana deer are hard to come by. Last thing I need to worry about is if my peep will line up right.

Its probably not the peep that twists but the string. Ever notice on cheaper strings when you set a nocking loop and after about 100 shots, the loop is now facing 90 degrees away from its original orientation? Drawing your bow should straighten the peep out though. Im looking at the new carolina foxfire with 3 pin and light. I now have the matrix and one of the finger tighening screws is stripped. I like the matrix but don't want to pay over a 100 dollars again for a new sight.
