I admit that I do like some liver - especially chicken livers - but here is a recipe for deer liver: it is a take on the old "liver and onions" recipe.

1. A few slices of liver - depending on how many you are serving.
2. Dredge in seasoned flour - flour + salt + pepper
3. Heat up the skillet - I use an iron skillet - then add some shortening to coat the bottom.
4. Place liver in skillet and brown on both sides until done.
5. Just at the "done" stage add some sliced button mushrooms (fresh) and saute. (Add a little butter/margerine if necessary.)
6. Add some milk to make a light gravy.
7. Enjoy.
