Where does a nonresident take the hunter safety coarse?

You take it in your state, and they will use the one from your state.

Are you saying all the states safety coarses will work for Colorado? Would a plain old Texas hunting license be sufficient?

Texas should have a hunters safety course you can take. Call you wildlife commission they can help.

No. You must take a credited course which you can easily do in Texas. All states recognize it. I went through the NRA and took mine through a gun club. It is good for as long as you are. Check with your local range or gun shop. thanks...........chs
