So Close!!!!!!

this morning i was hunting for whitetailed deer and a nice 4 or 6 point buck walked out. I was wanting to shoot him so i culd claim my first buck but my dad sed to wait cuz he might come closer. the deer jumped the fence and walked away. we hunt on a field next to woods,we believe the deer came out at nite to feed then once daylight came he walked back to his woods to bed. is there a good chance he will be following this same pattern tommorow? i have to use a 20 gauge shotgun with slugs now cuz some jerk that lives near my grandfather sed i shot his house but it was actually done by illegal hunters. is a winchester model 1300 20 ga with remington slugger slugs a good setup?

unless the deer is pushed or spooked there is chance he will come back out in a day or 2 but there is no guaranty in hunting

Marlinman, my wife just killed her first deer this morning with a 20 ga. As for the slugs - they are very good. Have you praticed withthem to be sure they hit where you aim? We went through about six different kinds of slugs until we found THE one that shot the best. As for the buck coming back out - probably so. Doesn't sound like you spooked him and deer are creatures of habit. Take your time and shoot well. Good luck and let us know how you did.
