Smallmouth

Does anyone actually eat smallmouth bass? Does anyone know any recipies? Thanks,

I've only ate smallmouth bass once. I don't fish for them at all. It tasted pretty close to largemouth bass IMO. We cooked them up on the grill in foil, tasted alright.

Yeah, I am pretty well in the same boat as you. Although I find myself fishing them more and more, I am a die hard trout fan at heart. Ok, I'll try on the barbecue. Any other ideas?

I would cook them much like any other sunfish - which is what they are. If they are a little bigger you could slice them into smaller pieces to get them all done at the same time. A little seasoned flour and fry them up. I haven't eaten many but they are much like a largemouth bass.
