cook off

hi all is cabela's going to have a cook off this year. have been looking around for things on it but no luck call kcbs to find out but luck. can some one put something up on this or give some more info thanks.

I know Dundee is not going to have one this year. I guess they're probably putting out more money than what comes in. Real bummer too, our team was really looking forward to it.
The birght side is the Grand Rapids cook off is on, and so is Silver Lake. A little further to drive, but we love to do it, so it's all good.

On a separate note, we just built a new grill/Smoker. We call it Grillzilla. It's 5 feet long, and 40 inches deep. We had 24 slabs of ribs on it using indirect heat, which basically means we could fill it with another 16 slabs all the way across. We did a BBQ Benefit this past Saturday for a friend of ours. It turned out real good. We bbq'ed 35 slabs of ribs, 10 pork butts, and 50 whole chickens for this shindig. The recipient ended up with $3200 after expences. What a weekend! Very busy.
