With the bluegill spawn nearing, does anyone else make fish jerky using bluegill, crappie, white bass, etc...? The pieces may not be too big but sure are tasty. Flatcoat

Never heard of fish jerky? Personally I only eat fish once it has been cooked. Do you cook it then dry it?

When I do fish jerky I will cure it in the oven on a very low temperature with the door propped open. The salt from the cure actually "cooks" the fish. When it is finished I keep it in the refrigerator or freezer. Easy to do, soak in soy sauce or terriyaki sauce for a couple of hours then place in oven. Flatcoat
