Hens can strut?

For NY the turkey season began the 1st of May. I went out and only saw 3 hes, however one hen that I called in proceeded to strut in front of me for 10 minutues just like a gobbler. Has anyone seen anything like this before? just curious

No, cant say i have, but 3 or 4 seasons ago we were taping and 8 hens and two jakes was all around our decoys and one of the hens done a faint gobble, even streached her head out, couldn't believe it.
