I have decided to buy only truely American made firerams from this point forward, such as Ruger and Henry Repeating Arms. Do you realize that Remington is now importing guns from both Russia and Yugoslavia? Savage is importing guns from Russia. Marlin is having shotguns made in China ! Mossberg is having guns made in Mexico. Winchester and Browning both have a majority of their guns made in Japan. And many of these companies are bragging about these guns being made outside the US. I say buy Americn made only and my support will go to manufacturers like Henry & Ruger

Doing business and strengthening our relations with these countries isn't nessicerily a bad thing. They buy lots of stuff from us also. We sell a lot of agricultral to them. It's hard not to buy some of these products especialy when they are good quality. I owne Ruger, marlin, winchester, browning, remington, beretta, taurus, and I like all of them. I don't like how we are depending so heavily on the mid east for fuel though.
I am sure that if you look closely at your house hold stuff you will find a lot of things with litle tags that say made in korea on them. Even your vehicle. Even our domestic cars have foriegn parts.
The world needs more teemwork and good relations to ensure that our children's children still have a good place to live.

Have you tried the new Remington rifles, there's one of them that has like a plastic action. They've went way down hill.Maybe due to the law suits against them, who knows. It really does not matter the democrats will take your guns this next election any way.Nice sentimental gesture but to little too late.

I'd be careful about committing to something that might bite back. Are you 100% sure that Ruger and Henry are using 100% USA made parts? Where are the stocks made? What about the steel?
Are you sure they are using US citizens in each factory?
In my opinion, some of the nicest guns manufactured today are not made in the USA. Most of the elite shotguns are made in Europe, as are the rifles. Those guns that compare with the European's, yet made in the USA are very expensive. So, have at it, but be prepared to pay for your seclusion.
BTW -- Remington shotguns and rifles are all made in the USA. Those that are imported come from their cheap Spartan line-up.

hope the comment about the plastic action was just a saying and not what you really think it is.

lol imagine a .375 mag with a walnut stock and a one piece bolt saying made in china on it but it's sort of disrespecting beretta and benelli my favorite arms

I think that the remark about plastic actions on remington rifles is partialy true. I don't know the actual model but I do know that it is kind of like there beginner/base/cheapo model. I bought a remington model 700 LSS and I don't see any plastic on it at all. Winchester also has a cheap rifle with plastic trigger gaurd but it is still the cheap/base model. If you bump up a litle bit higher in there lineups both winchester and remington produce fine firearms. Just because a company offers an economy model doesn't necassarily mean that everything they sell is the same way.

I have no problem buying guns made out of the US. One of my shotguns is a mossberg and its great. I know browning and other companys make some realy nice firearms comparible with Ruger and Henry rifles. I don't know what model it is but Remington is have a gun made by a company some where in Japan it felt like a piece of junk while other Remington guns I looked at seemed realy nice.
