Pheasant Hunting '05

What kind of #s have you guys seen and shot this season?

I've only made it out opening day here in Nebraska. 3 guys 9 Pheasants (3 person Limit) and 10 Quail. Seen a lot of birds, a bunch more than last year. We hunted both private and public.

I have not made it out yet but some friends in Washington went out and they limited out. the two of the them shot 6 roosters.

Got another rooster and 8 quail (2 guys) on Saturday. Seeing alot more birds this year, so the season outcome looks good since my shot still looks a little weak early in the year :)

Still seeing a bunch of birds in South Central Nebraska. Alot more Quail and phesants than the past couple years in our hunting grounds public and private...

It was my first time ever going pheasant hunting. Had 3 of us in our party inspite of the 40 to 50 mph wind ( no kidding) Ended up taking 7 pheasants during the afternoon hunt two other hunters joined in with a total of 13 roosters taken, All of us agreed we had a great time.

finally broke down and bought a couple so the dog would get some work.

Don't know where you saw the word August, the post started on 11-04-2005, In Nebraska the season started at the very end of October.

I saw a pheasant in Colorado once - but that was about 8 years ago. Several friends have gone out this year to SE and NE Colorado and have come home empty - they're generally pretty good/avid hunters.

Hey has anyone seen an update for the '06 season? I haven't taken the time to see the outlook yet.
