When i take my suit out of the bag to put it on it smells like scent killer that i use.You cant wash it all the time either.Iknow if i can smell it the deer can for sure.I only spray my bow, handsand face, and climber. But still get the same effect.Other then not using scent killers how do you get rid of the smell.

If you can smell your scent killer then you're using the wrong stuff. Try using a scent eliminating soap to wash your body and then only put on your Scent-Lok suit right before you enter the woods to hunt. For your bow and stand, wash them with a mild scent-free soap and handle them with rubber gloves. It's almost impossble to eliminate all scent, but the more you can, the better your hunt will be.
If your scentlok suit is keeping odors that you can pick up, I'd ask how old your suit is... Older versions of the Scent-Lok suits basically wear out after a few seasons and won't work as effectively as they once did. Newer suits are much more apt to withstand a long period of use. You may also want to look into a Scent-Lok Base Layer or Cabela's Anti-microbial long underwear as a way to increase your scent elimination.
best of luck.

I use Carbon Blast on my accessories. Then I wash my Scent Lok Suite with baking soda. One cup per load. Only wash the suite if it needs it, maybe once a season if, like Yooper said, you only put it on when you get to where your going and keep it in a scent bag. My dog wonders who I am. Also, you may want to try a cover scent, like dirt or acorn, or something. I have had some luck when using stuff like that.

I had a Scent-Lok rep tell me that if you spray any kind of cover scent or scent eliminating spray of any kind on a Scent-Lok suit, all you do is fill the carbon up and defeat the Scent-Lok material. Scent-Lok products have the capacity to adsorb human odor for approximately 40 hours of field use. Once the garments have reached that time, they are “desorbed” in the dryer. Once the temperature reaches 150 degrees for 30-40 minutes, the capacity has been restored to adsorb odors again.

Thats right ...NO Carbon spray on the suite, just your other stuff, Like boots, Gloves etc aka accessories, if they're not also ScentLok. Scent Lok has a web site. It goes over what to do, and what not to do, as far as their suites go.

It is hard for me to "activate" my suit after the first day or hunting, my property doesn't have a dryer yet. What I have found out that if you take some leaves, acorns, dirt, and sticks from where your going to hunt or (non contaminated with human scent) and put them in a plastic bag along with your outer wear and store them hanging somewhere. That way when your carbon is ending it's final "absorbing" oders it's taking in "natural" oders.
