I live and hunt in Minnesota. Needless to say it gets cold. I have been looking for a good and warm set of bibs and jacket. Does anyone have experience with the Arctic Shield H3 line? Is it warm? And most importantly, is it quiet?

Hello hunter,,, my advise about artic sheild is RUN RUN RUN,, they are not what they advertise. I purchased the entire outfit for my wife to go on a week long deer hunt in OK. The average temp that time of year was around 35ish. We ran into the company reps at a hunting show, yes they even gave us the DRY ICE test. However when you get the outfit in the field it fails to live up to there advertisement. She was never so cold ruining the weeks hunt. Also the colder it got outside the noiser the outfit would become. Both of us called them approx a dozen times to get a return on the outfit stating the outfit did not work as promised. IN short we just kept getting the run around to the point calls were not returned or emails replied to. She has turned the outfit into a winter time suit for feeding the horses along with cleaning the barn stalls out. Artic sheild is nothing but a scam an crap clothing it does not perform as promised RUN RUN...
I have never used the outfit personally but the heater body suits look like the ticket to cold weather stand hunting...
Good luck.

Truthfully the Arctic Shield stuff does not perform as well as Cabela’s brand product. Cabela's Stand Hunter program was designed for late season and/or cold applications. It's very warm and quiet, and even has chemical heat pack pockets built in. Call Cabela's and quiz one of our Customer Relations Product Specialists about it.

The great thing about Cabela's brand gear is that you know it has been tested hardcore. I mean, those guys LIVE IT!
You'll be hard-pressed to find a line of hunting clothing more diverse than Cabela's. I am ultra-happy with everything I've ever bought there.

I have used the ArcticShield warming system (jackets, bibs, gloves) for two years now and must say that there is nothing warmer on the market. Everyone in my deer camp is wearing the product now. Good luck.

I also live and hunt in Minnesota and what works for me is wool. I use the Columbia line of wool and love it. It's quiet, warm, and breathes. I dress in layers and use a hand muff since I don't like wearing bulky gloves. The Columbia wool is very affordable, but there are other lines of wool clothing out there. I'd personally check out the Cabela's line with the Dry Plus. That'll be my next purchase for hunting clothing. Just wish they would make it in the Original Outfitter Camo pattern, it seems to work the best up here in northwest MN. Good Luck and Good Hunting.
