Ground blind!

I've been thinking about purchasing a ground blind for hunting this year. It seems like every year there’s a day or two that I plan on hunting and get rained out. I thought one of these things might just be the trick provided the wind isn't howling as well. I'd like to hear any suggestions as well as products to avoid. Thanks.

I bought one of the Cabela's "lightning blinds" last year and have used it on two different trips. It goes up in about 5 minutes including stakes and down in about 10 minutes. For the money not too bad. It's best to brush them in and install them before the hunt so as to allow deer to become accustomed to it. However, keeping them exposed to the elements for weeks at a time is hard on them. The sun and wind takes it's toll.

If you have the time, install one a week before the hunt, brush it in and stake it well. Keep in in the shade and you'll enjoy it. chs

I have a Primos blind and it works well. I shot a 8 point buck out of it last year on a rainy saturday afternoon. Like it was said before put it out for a while and blend it in with brush and the deer won't pay much attention to it. I have trail cam picks of deer being only feet away from mine.

I started hunting in a ground blind a couple seasons ago...(tired of good trees being in the wrong place)...anyway, killed the biggest buck of my life from it!
