I've been a big fan of Limbsavers products ever since I put that first set of 'em on my bow. The technology seems to work. I was pretty happy to see it when they came out with recoil pads and quickly snapped one up for my scatterblaster (Mossberg 835).
I was a little sceptical of their new Barrel De-resonator for rifles though. Some of my huntin' buddies were even making fun of it because let's face it, it does look a bit on the strange side. For those of you who haven't seen it, you can find one on this website. It basically slips over the muzzle on the barrel of your rifle. The theory is it reduced barrel vibration caused by the bullet traveling toward the muzzle and therfore increasing accuracy.
I bought one just for the fun of it. They don't cost much (about $15) so I figured, why not?
It works. I was shocked to see it too, but it does work. I put it on the barrel of my Winchester Model 70 in 7mm Rem mag. I experienced tighter groups of 1/4 plus inches at 100 yards!
