Very cool. I did a shotgun in the same fashion with the same components.

Thats really cool Gabe.... How did you apply the second color?

I used pine needles as a pattern and did the second color green and then went over that with the third color brown with the pine needles again.

Thanks,
Gabe

K. I get it. I really like how your rifle came out. What did you use to get all the oil off from it before laying down the first coat?

For some reason it wont let me post a pic link right how but this is what I used. Copy and paste it in your browser this is what I used to degrease it. Then I used soapy water to neutralized everything. Let dry and start sprayin.

When it comes to guns and trucks looks are important to me. Just painting the metal parts would'nt look right. But I still think Guns look awsome when they are 100% camo, scope included. One Day I will Find the right gun to give a custom paint job.

There are a number of host sites on the web.....snapfish, tinypic, kodak gallery, photobucket, webshots etc just to name a few. Photobucket is easy to use.

Let me just say that you should size your pictures to no more than a 1000 pixles wide for sharing on forums. With Photobucket you can select what sizes the picture will be when they are uploaded.

Here's and example using Photobucket, it's very easy.
Go to your albums and select a picture like this, a drop down window will appear, left click and highlight the IMG code and then right click to copy.

It should look something like this

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/dubbleA/PB.jpg

Once you have done that, make your post and then paste the link wherever you want the picture to be. Of course if you have more han one picture you will have to repeat the step of copying each different picture IMG code.

It should look like this
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f268/dubbleA/errrrr.jpg

If you have done everything correctly it should look like this...

Does doing this weather-proof your gun? I am thinking about getting a new in-line muzzleloader and had thought that I would get a stainless/composite model, but if this weather proofs yuor gun I might just get a cheaper blued barrel and do this, it would even look better.
