What do you plan on hunting? If it's just dove like your name has listed, then I would just get the 20. But if you are going after waterfowl or larger waterfowl in the future then you might enjoy a 12 gauge a little more.
Give us some more info on what your intension are with the gun...

I would choose a Mossberg over a Charles Daly in a heartbeat. The Mossbergs are proven reliable and made in the US. Charles Daly's can be nice, but I've heard of a lot of breakdowns and then getting them fixed can be next to impossible.
For the money, the Mossy's got my vote.

Stay away from 3" CDs. Get the Mossberg. 12gauge will show its advantage in variety of loads, and obvious amount of shot you get to throw out. Semi-auto so don't worry about recoil.

Thank you for the info guys.
Brent ,I will hunt dove with it . I already own a Mossberg 835 ultimag with a 24" barrel and just bought a
28" barrel off of ebay today. Also have 12ga Mossberg 500 that I have been useing for maybe 20yrs!
Thought I might would like a semiauto. I looked at a Remington 11-87 Premier at Gander today and they said they would price match what Academy was selling theirs for at $598. Is this a good price?
No one around here has a Mossberg 930 for me to look at although Wal-Mart will order one for me for $409 the salesman said if I didn't like it I wouldn't have to take it. Which would be the better deal?

Mossburg 930 over the Charles Daly....you'll be able to find more accessories, tubes, barrels etc for it in the future as well and will have a better resale value.
If you can afford a 11-87 or even an old 1100 I would pick that over the Mossburg personally but thats just because I've never found a semi auto that FELT better in my hands than the Rem 1100....keep the gas ports clean and a good oring in it and they just keep shooting...
Pick a decent name with a good rep that feels good, fits you, and swings well.

Definitely scrap the Charles Daly idea. I'd opt to get the Mossberg over the CD, however the Remington 11-87, despite the higher dollar is a much better unit.

In my opinion the CD would be the last I would consider.
Take a good look at the New England Firearms / H&R imprted autoloadrs. They are much better then the CD, priced very well and H&R has always had great customer service if you do experience problems. I think they start at around $298 at Wally World.
Just my $ .02 worth.
Good luck.

Special order Walmart Guns, if ya have not tried it you are in for a surprise!! Thought i could save 300 buck on a rifle and a shoutgun doing the special order? Once i ordered them they said you can order them but their supplier ie Lipsey's did not have them which means ya can't order them?? Seems Walmart orders all their guns once a year and pretty much can't getanymore after that according to a NM Walmart Manager! I called Bentonville to ask them what up with this process and they thought i was nuts? Most of the Supercenters in Albuquerque quit selling guns totally! as in no gun cabinets at all!! only 2 outa 12 Supercenters sell Guns?? So much for saving 300 bucks!!

The 930 should be ok, but stay away from the 935 for doves, you won't get it to cycle the low brass shells

I have a Mossberg not a 930 but a SA-20 and it is a very reliable firearm and the price is reasonable for the quality of the gun

I know what you mean i bought my first shotgun from Wal Mart, but recently I havn't been able to find any of them. There are several of them in our surrounding community, but the only one that comes close is 30 miles away, and that only sells muzzleloaders.
I looked at a new Weatherby pump that just came out and it is a beautiful gun, decent wood, fit .Very nice...Guess the price?..$320,also has a shim kit to adjust pull and cast included..cchoke tubes. They have a similar styled autoloader for about $650 or so...looks like a bargain to me...I like 20 guages, lite recoil and cheaper shells ..Taken pheasants at 50 yds with em'
My wife shoots one and loves it..They come with a shim kit for drop and cast also..Decent looking walnut too..Had too take off an inch for her short arms ..Pretty hard too beat 'em
