Mike I am sure there are guys on here with longer and more exotic lists than I. As far as my list goes understand I have hunted all my life and have no other hobbies other than hunting and fishing. As soon as I finish one adventure I begin to think and save for the next. I am ver lucky to have a wife that loves the outdoors like me and we hunt all over together. This gives me the advantage of not planning beach vacations and other non hunting or fishing related vacation packages. Bianca is constantly coming up with adventures for us to go on and I realize I am very lucky to have her.

................ and that was just last week........
Personally FWIW and from a different location and perspective.......... my list:-
Small stuff -
Brown hare
White hare
Rabbit - we only got one kind
Red fox
Stoat
Pheasant
Red grouse
Grey partridge
French partridge
Quail - forgotten the make
Woodcock
Mallard
Wigeon
Teal - european
Teal - hottentot
Egyptian goose
Spur winged goose
Greylag goose
Pinkfoot goose
Knobbilled duck
Snipe
Woodpigeon
Doves - various
Yellownecked spur fowl
Francolin
Helmetted guinea fowl
Crested Guinea fowl
Vulturine guinea fowl
Barred sand grouse
Bigger stuff -
Red deer - a shed load
Roe deer
Japanese sika deer
Alpine chamois
Cape buffalo
Nyasaland wildebeest
Brindled wildebeest
Tsessebe
Cokes hartebeest
Lichtensteins hartebeest
Greater kudu
Zebra
Impala
Thompsons gazelle
Grants Gazelle
Kirks dik dik
Steinbok
Grey bush duiker
Chobe bush buck
Sable
Warthog
Black backed jackal
and also a few snakes
This looks like quite a long list - but somehow it has just happened - guess it does does'nt it? Not much of the above makes the record book but its mine and I think the best thing is the vast majority (incl the buff...) has been taken on my own with no help and that takes a whole lot more effort. It puts those species I did take with a guide into another, lesser, league.
Each to their own ....... whatever does it for you?? I think the best thing is the places hunting takes you to and the things you see and do.

I agree with you Stalker it is the adventure......I have met some wonderful people along the way and I wouldnt trade the experience for anything.
Whats the possibility of coming over to hunt red deer with you......and what is a stoat? I will in trade swap you a whitetail deer and wild hog hunt if you are interested.
The red deer would be more for my wife as she loves them and wants to take one.
Like you we have never been concerned with trophy status and as long as it is an adult of the species we are fine with it.

My bank account is kinda small because of this but it was a dream from childhood when poppin squirrels and such in N.C.mountains and reading too many Outdoor Life magazines.which caused me to move to Wyoming in '78..about 35 deer including whitetails and muleys ..Javalina... ....10 elk...Canadian moose and grizzly....2 Alaskan caribou and black bear...bunch of pronghorn antelope..coyotes and prairy dogs..beautiful Badger....Namibian hunt produced 54" Kudu...2 Hartebeast...Gemsbuck...Mountain Zebra..jackal ..and the biggest baboon you ever saw on a fence post.. Wife took some different animals on that trip too..Assorted doves, ducks ,quail, and pheasants, poisinous snakes and probably a possum and muskrat .....All were thrilling but the most hair raising was the Grizzly. Most were taken with 30/06 ,grizzly and Africa included, or .270...Africa is the best deal on the planet today by far especially Namibia and it's free ranging game....In 1978 the 18 day grizzly and moose hunt was $4500 total, try that today!

So far this year I have killed a 4x4 whitetail in Ohio with my bow. I also killed two hogs with my bow in South Carolina. While in Nebraska I was able to harvest a mature Mule Deer on the first morning of the hunt. I hunted for two weeks straight in SC for a gator but I came up empty handed. During the gator hunt, I did connect with a nice gator. But while trying to pull him in he pulled the arrow tip out. Christmas break I am going to Ohio to do a little Muzzleloader hunting with my father.

Hart if you can somehow swing an unguided Alaska boat hunt for black bear you will love it .Scenery alone is worth the trip plus some halibut fishing. Some of these can be had for about3000..Stay on boat and take a skiff by yourself to check shore line in coves...Grizz is too much money today..We did unguided caribou in Ak pretty cheap but I was younger and tougher then..caribou nos. are down in Ak. now...I think Grizzly is a lot less in Canadian provinces..I got mine in BC years ago
