Never heard of anything like this..........Knocking on doors still seems to be the best bet.

Although originally from Astoria, I'm in Colorado now and can't help you out at all. Maybe your local DNR may be able to help you out. Good Luck..........

I do remember hearing such a website before, but I do not remember the details or the webpage. You would just have to hope that enough farmers/owners access the website to give people opporunities. I will try to go back on another forum and locate the information.

I have a few suggestions for calls. I don't know if you have ever heard of the CALLING ALL COYOTES series but the hunter in that uses these. Bill austin makes some very nice calls. Dan thompson also makes good calls, my favorite of his is the red desert howler. Go to your local outdoors store or go to www.callingcoyotes.com. You can also buy those electronic calls, but then you have to deal with the wires and they are more exspensive. As far as a website like that goes i have no clue. good luck-shawn

Central Oregon ranchers are always eager to have varmint hunters, however knocking on doors when you live in Portland would be tough unless you had a ton of spare time. You need to find a place where they congregate. They frequent local cafes and general stores near ranches, try putting flyers there. There is a gun shop thirty miles west of portland. The owner there knows many ranchers in central and eastern oregon and can provide you with numbers. This is your best bet because then you come recommended by someone with a reputation of gun safety and respect for property and equipment.
Call Al's gun shop at (503) 357-2441. They can also outfit you with calls, firearms, ammo, techniques and anything else you might need.
